Insight: DQ’s Ice cream isn’t very sustainable.

Idea: Ice cream melts in warmer climates, and with climate change, everywhere will be warmer.

Solution: Feign closing for Earth Day to show people what a world without cold would look like.

The Plan: Pretend that Dairy Queen is closing for good.

Schedule the last day to be Earth Day

In the meantime, offer a new treat called “The Last Blizzard”

List DQ Ice Cream Machines on eBay, Craigslist, and Facebook marketplace. (Source these from the manufacturer in case someone buys one.)

List participating DQ locations on Zillow.

Build doubt. Will DQ close? Is this just a hoax?

Earth Day happens, close for the day.

Re-open the next day with more sustainable packaging and oat-ice-cream options.
